It is drawing up the most anticipated holiday of them all.. Christmas. I am sure with lots of christmas shopping to do you will want everything you give to a loved one to be extra special. The way you can easily get your hands on something one of a kind and made with extra love and care is to shop independently. With large companies like Not on the High Street and Etsy you'll be sure to find vast amounts of suppliers and products from so many small and talented independent businesses.
This year I have promised to myself to only buy from small independent businesses to help support the makers, the painters, the drawers, the graphic designers and many more talented people out there.
I have put together a small list of my absolute favs!
Polly Fern is an incredibly talented illustrator and ceramist with a really cute canary. Her ceramics are top of my list for christmas this year! Her website can be found HERE.
Although she is not based in the UK but over in Brooklyn I thought she would be worth a special mention. She makes weavings and wall hangings as commissions, teaches beginners weaving classes and makes beginner weaving kits. The colours she uses in each weaving are lush! Her Instagram can be found HERE.
Geo-fleur is a small company which has been around for about a year. With their amazing eye for contemporary design and beautiful use of pastels they are already making a massive impression on the word of makers and design. Every desk needs a Geo-fleur pot in my opinion.. Order from their website HERE.
